Sarah Howarth joined the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) in February 2021 having previously worked in communications for private sector healthcare.

Sarah is the Senior Development and Support Manager, she has strategic oversight of the
NIHR Academy mentoring provision, which support doctoral and postdoctoral NIHR Academy Members to both seek a mentor and become a mentor.

She gained her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Exeter and has recently co-authored three book chapters and an academic paper.
