There is a belief that we as humans have a deep-down longing to connect with others. No matter what work Russell has done throughout the world, he strives to live out his purpose to develop, encourage, and transform those around him so that a greater sense of community and belonging is enjoyed by all.
Russell has worked in the United States of America and New Zealand in various roles assisting others to
connect and feel a sense of belonging and value. While in these roles, Russell started to gain an understanding of how his cause of mentoring and helping others discover identity could unlock success, as well as have a transforming impact on communities.
After joining the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF), Russell was able to obtain additional training, certificates, and awards on top of his Master’s Degree, to further his passion of growing others and living out his belief of everyone being the hero of their own story.
As the Manager of the award winning and internationally certified RNZAF Mentoring Programme, Russell has the opportunity to instruct, coach, mentor, supervise, and encourage others to find their distinctive deep-down cause and purpose. With this new understanding and recognition of self-worth, Russell believes others will gain confidence, feel more valued, and create a brave new story for
themselves.
In addition to his work in the RNZAF, Russell is an accredited EMCC Global Senior Practitioner and contributor both globally and in the Asia and Pacific Region.
Within these realms of influence, he is able to lead dialogues on organisational excellence within mentoring and how to embed a supportive and open culture so success is unlocked.
Across his many varied roles, Russell continues to provide a safe place for others to learn, grow and discover their own unique identity. Through this partnership of learning and transformation, Russell not only believes others will begin to understand how to be the hero of their own story, but feels togetherness and belonging becomes the reward for all.
