Nigel Cumberland is an executive coach and facilitator with the World Bank, United Nations as well as a range of multinationals and governments.

Nigel holds the EMCC Global EIA at Master Practitioner level and is also an ESIA certified Supervisor. In 2019 he won the EMCC’s Coach of the Year award. Until this summer, he has been an EMCC Global Board Member, having previously co-led the creation of the Global Code of Ethics as well as having led an EMCC Global review of mentoring.

He’s a co-founder of The Silk Road Partnership which provides coaching, mentoring and training to leaders and their teams globally. Previously, Nigel worked as a multinational managing director and finance director, and has lived in locations as diverse as Hong Kong, Glasgow, Budapest, Santiago, Dubai, Singapore, Guatemala City, Kuala Lumpur, London and Shanghai.

He's the author of a number of self-help and leadership books including: 100 Things Productive People Do: Little Lessons in Getting Things Done (Nicholas Brealey Publishing, 2022), 100 Things Successful Leaders Do: Little Lessons in Leadership (Nicholas Brealey Publishing, 2020), 100 Things Millionaires Do: Little Lessons in Creating Wealth (Nicholas Brealey Publishing, 2019), The Ultimate Management Book (John Murray Learning, 2018), 100 Things Successful People Do: Little Exercises for Successful Living (John Murray Learning, 2016), Secrets of Success at Work: 50 Techniques to Excel (Hodder & Stoughton, 2014), Finding and Hiring Talent in a Week (John Murray Learning, 2016) and Leading Teams in a Week (John Murray Learning, 2016).

He'll be publishing his newest book 100 Ways to Win: Little Answers to Life’s Big Challenges in early 2024. Something unusual on his CV is that he was made a Freeman of the City of London in 2016.
