Chris Shuttleworth
EMCC Switzerland President; EMCC Global EIA and ITCA Practitioner
Developing leaders who build great teams and places to work is what I do.
The spark ignited when I read "Honeybees and Locusts: The Business Case for Sustainable Leadership". At last—this was the type of organization I wanted to work in and the style of leaders with whom I wanted to work.
I spent the next 12 years practicing the 'Honeybee' approach within my professional pursuits building a Forensic Technology team within a 'Big 4' Accounting Consulting firm. We built a high performance team that attracted great talent, earned our client's loyalty, and was both challenging, supportive, and a fun place to work. The firm's 'university' asked me to join the faculty and share my experiences with other Partners so they could build high performance teams as well.
That journey led me to start up my own coaching / consulting practice (H23O) to help leaders of growing teams (i.e. start-ups) replicate my success. Working with founders who are transitioning into new management roles while simultaneously adding new team members is meaningful work for me. When change combines with urgency it generates the potential for chaos. My interventions help leaders and teams make sense of this change and establish a language that facilitates effective teamwork so they stop 'spinning their wheels' and move consistently towards goal achievement.
